HERE IS THE CHECKLIST FOR DASH REMOVAL ON THE 4TH GEN, IT IS FREE FOR ALL TO COPY AND PASTE!
4th gen dash removal
Console has wires under driver seat
Two console bolts by seat belts
Two console bolts in the front behind plastics and two Phillips screws
Two screws under rubber tray at front of console
Main console electrical connector after sliding console back a few inches
Remove plastic duct for center console if applicable (center on the floor)
Park brake
Hood release
Steering shaft bolt
Unplug all steering column wires (requires removal of plastic covers behind steering wheel)
Remove entire column (ensure steering wheel does not rotate or you can damage the clock spring)
Two bolts above column that were hidden by steering column
Remove ENTIRE brake switch to prevent damage
Obd2 port
A pillar covers on both sides
Connections behind a pillars
Two bulk heads on driver floor
Plugs behind pass kick panel (some have two antenna connections)
Two bolts by windshield
Two bolts to main dash brace at the floor above transmission tunnel
If center console truck, remove u shaped metal bracket in center of floor so it doesn’t rip seats
Pull carpet back on both sides to get enough slack in air bag module wires, also helps to release the bottom most clip from the dash that has these wires and a couple of the clips under the carpet.
To remove the hvac box just remove the two nuts on firewall side, one is coolant res mount and other is in plain sight.
Modify blend door that Blend Door USA sends that is clearly not the correct shape
Relearn blend doors after done
